Speedy Brioche Rolls

I’m back!  After a prolonged absence (I’m taking a break from the 365 project after finishing the last one) I thought I’d return with the simplest, yumimiest dessert ever. These went down a storm.

Ingredients
Sliced Brioche loaf
Chocolate spread
Strawberries (or basically any filling you want – chopped hazelnuts would be delicious)

Method
Remove the crusts from the slices of brioche (these can be frozen to be used later. Blitz them in a blender and add the slice on top of the chocolate spread, to cakes, milkshakes, ice cream or just nibble on them as a chef’s treat).

Using a rolling pin, flatten out the slices.

Spread chocolate spread on and at the bottom place your filling (if you’re using nuts, blitzed up brioche crust, or small pieces of toffee/caramel/fudge etc, sprinkle over the entire slice).

Tightly roll the slice up and that’s it!
If you want to hike up the calorie content and turn it into something truly decadent, melt a little butter in a frying pan and lightly brown the roll. Or dip in a beaten egg, roll lightly in sugar and fry in a little butter.
