Cooking:Cheese Burgers

I’ve posted about burgers before, both ordinary and with black pudding, but with a few minor adjustments I’ve managed to improve on them.
Makes 6 sizable burgers.

750g mince
2 tsp mixed herbs
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
Salt and pepper
1 egg
6 small chunks of cheddar

Put the mince in a ball and mash up with a fork. Then add salt, pepper & mixed herbs. Combine thoroughly with the fork. Then add the sweet chilli sauce and egg and combine thoroughly.

Take an amount of mince in your hand,  in the centre, place a chunk of cheese and press in slightly. Then cover up with some more mince. Form into a ball and press down slightly. Repeat until you have 6 burgers. Place in fridge for an hour to chill.

Heat a large frying pan (you may need 2) over a medium heat then place the burgers in. Fry for approximately 7-8 mins each side. Check that they’re piping hot,  remove from pan and place on some kitchen roll. Leave to rest for a couple of mins.

Serve with salad, sauce, cheese or whatever you want!
